Neither. That’s like asking what would you rather be hit by, a freight train or a passenger train.

Both vim and neovim are archaic, esoteric, byzantine and counter-intuitive. Instead of trying to get rid of sysVinit, openRc, runit and other simple init systems and force everyone to use systemD, vi, vim and neovim should have had a stake put through their collective heart.

Comment on Stop Microsoft Edge From Opening Your Browser History at Startup by Arrthur https://www.maketecheasier.com/stop-microsoft-edge-opening-browser-history-at-startup/#comment-131331 Mon, 21 Apr 2025 03:14:13 +0000 https://admin.maketecheasier.com/?p=802989#comment-131331 I stopped Edge from doing anything as soon as it was introduced in Win10. I downloaded and installed a small app called “EdgeBlock” from a website called “Sordum.org” That was several years ago and its still doing what it was said to do. I can’t even load Edge from anywhere on my Win10 system even with the changes MS has done with Edge,

Seriously? An entire article about how to install a terminal program in Linux, because you might also have a Windows machine??? Then why aren’t you explaining how to install it in Windows? What a ridiculous article.

Currently, there are GitHub tools like “pam_usb” that can mimic USB Raptor’s functionality in Windows. Here is an online link with detailed instructions for locking and unlocking the Linux session whenever a USB drive is plugged in or removed. https://github.com/mcdope/pam_usb You can achieve similar login functionality as Windows can be achieved, including backdoor access. It requires further testing but the instructions are already there on that page. Thanks for suggesting this topic, someone will take a look into it.

It may stop other sites from tracking the user but it doens not stop Google tracking. In fact, it probably provides Google with enhanced ability to harvest user data. I’d use ANY other browser before I would use Chrome.

For now. M$ can change its policy at any time and make 365 users pay monthly.

Libre Office is free, now and in the foreseeable future. It comes standard with more modules (Base, Math, Draw) that you have to pay extra for in M$ Office. LO may not be as pretty (for some people) as M$ 365 but it comes with more functionality.
