You can remove it by left clicking and unchecking show scroll bar.

Screen/vimux are for running shells in other splits as opposed to other vim buffers.

Oops, I meant to post my comment as a reply. I think Vimux and Screen are mostly beneficial to people who are used to the key commands used in Tmux/Screen. Thanks for pointing out that you can also split the screen using built-in Vim commands.

The only thing that I felt was missing was a comment on, is there any benefit to use Vimux instead of using screens splitting in regions? Or using :split/:vsplit/:Sex/:Vex in vim?
