Wouldn’t it be nice to just let your fridge do all the shopping so that you have more time to enjoy great food? The new line of Samsung Bespoke fridges may be able to do just that, thanks to a partnership with Instacart.
Samsung Bespoke Fridges Utilize AI
With everything else using AI to try and make life easier, it’s not surprising that Samsung is utilizing AI in their line of Bespoke smart fridges. The company has already added more AI to watches and phones. And the AI is actually useful: adding items you’re running out of to your Instacart shopping cart.
I think we’ve all gone grocery shopping only to come home and realize we’ve forgotten something. Samsung’s new AI Vision Inside technology uses cameras to analyze what’s in your refrigerator. When you use something, you’ll have the option to add it directly to your Instacart cart.
Samsung’s AI can recognize 37 foods to accurately search for and add items from local grocers to your cart. You can also set up unrecognized items manually. However, the cameras can’t see inside the freezer or refrigerator door bins.
The new technology starts rolling out in 2025 with the Samsung Bespoke refrigerator line, which includes a new 9-inch screen version and the 32-inch AI Family Hub models. If you already have an AI Family Hub unit that includes AI Vision Inside technology, an over-the-network update should arrive during 2025 to give you the same functionality.
Partnership With Instacart
Samsung has partnered with Instacart on a multi-year contract to help keep your fridge replenished. Thanks to the Instacart Developer Platform, Samsung and Instacart will work together seamlessly to make managing your fridge’s food inventory and grocery shopping easier than ever.
What’s important to note is that orders aren’t placed automatically; items are simply added to your Instacart cart. Moving forward, you’ll need to review and place orders at your convenience.
The best part is that you can do all of this from the screen on your fridge. Depending on your area and item availability, you’ll receive items you need the same day.

Currently, Samsung hasn’t released a full list of which models will support Instacart ordering. The list is expected later in 2025 as the new line of fridges is released. Firmware updates to existing models will be released periodically throughout 2025 to add the latest features, along with updates to recognize more food items.
